Story of technology
Technology is a defining feature of every era. Without the steam engine and the industrial revolution it sparked, Dickens' stories would not be feasible. In fact, neither would the biographies of figures like Carnegie or Vanderbilt. And how would the 20th century have been different if there had been no electricity or internal combustion engines?
But we frequently forget that stories also influence technology. Very famously but not alone, Steve Jobs held the view that the humanities and technology are intricately entwined, with the power of narrative playing a significant role. Technology, after all, co-evolves with humanity and does not exist in a vacuum.
Because of this, it's impossible to properly understand technology without also understanding the tales that its users and the technology itself have to tell. Innovation also heavily depends on how we tell those tales, as Fareed Zakaria argues in his book In Support of a Liberal Education. When properly interpreted, technology is much more than a collection of lifeless items.
What is technology
Technology is the application of knowledge to the attainment of realistic objectives in a repeatable manner. The term "technology" can also refer to the end results of such endeavours, which can include both material instruments like machinery or utensils and ethereal ones like software. Science, engineering, and daily living all depend heavily on technology.
While technology aids in economic growth and increases human prosperity, it can also have adverse effects such as resource depletion, pollution, or societal problems such as technical unemployment brought on by automation. Define transportation
Transportation refers to the different ways that people and/or products are moved from one location to another. Both fixed installations, such as roads, railways, airways, waterways, canals, and pipelines, as well as terminals, including airports, railway stations, bus stops, warehouses, trucking terminals, refuelling depots (including fuel docks and fuel stations), and seaports, are considered to be part of the transportation infrastructure. Language is a system of signs and symbols that is unique to the society that speaks and writes it. A grasp of common concepts and a common language are necessary for effective communication. It's also crucial to keep in mind that a recipient can perceive what a sender sends in a different way than what the sender intended, but this is less probable if the two parties speak the same language and have similar cultural backgrounds.
